Today was a shining example of the diverse and interconnected nature of the work we do at AMROC - a day filled with #allthethings. We got in some CNC training, have most of the FIRST Robotics Competition field set up in the RITHM center galleria, had a fun and instructive sewing class and wrapped up with the Tuesday night Drone Meetup. Check out our calendar page at AMROCTampaBay.com/calendar to see opportunities to get involved - as a volunteer, mentor or student - and join in the fun and learning!

We can't leave Las Vegas without expressing our immense gratitude to BattleBots CEO and co-founder Trey Roski for the generosity of his time showing us around the Battlebots arena and for his support and guidance in helping us explore next steps for scaling our combat robotics program in Tampa. He even invited AMROC team members to a Battlebots Destruct-a-thon show today. Look for our next combat event - at a much smaller but hugely fun scale - at the Florida State Fair in February!

And it's a wrap for the AMROC crew at CES - although you can enjoy more event coverage tomorrow from the PLUGHITZ Live team! Today we enjoyed catching up with Andy Holzemer of Palm Beach Bots , a whirlwind visit to the Las Vegas Convention Center to see some of the bigger CES exhibits where we had a great conversation with IEEE about resources for our STEM programs, and capped it all off with a terrific visit to the BattleBots arena to explore ideas for growing our combat robotics program. We're looking forward to applying lessons learned, knowledge gathered and ideas inspired, when we get back home to Tampa!
